Creswick Luxury Pure Wool Quilt

Our 500 GSM all Seasons Wool quilts are crafted from 300TC 100% Cotton Japara fabric and filled with Pure Downs Wool, which should not be mistaken for feathers. 

Downs Wool is sourced from Poll Dorset sheep, known for producing dense and springy wool, making it ideal for doona and quilt production. This is unlike Merino wool, which, while popular, is too fine and fragile for quilts.

Wool is naturally hypoallergenic and generally does not trigger allergies. However, it contains Lanolin, a natural oil produced by sheep, which can cause allergic reactions in some individuals. Our quilts contain up to 2% Lanolin. The most common allergic reactions to wool quilts are due to the chemicals used in the dry cleaning process. These chemicals are strictly regulated in Australia to ensure consumer safety, but regulations can be less strict in other countries. Therefore, if a wool quilt is not made in Australia, even if it contains 'Australian Wool,' the safety and contents of the quilt cannot be guaranteed.
