Just a short 90-minute drive from Melbourne and only 20 minutes from Ballarat and Daylesford, Creswick Woollen Mills offers one of Victoria’s most authentic and charming regional experiences.

Proudly family-owned since 1947, the Mill brings the rich legacy of Australian natural fibres to life with warmth & style.  Although the original Mill machinery is now at rest, the story lives on through our award-winning interactive exhibit, A Very Fine Yarn. This hands-on, self-guided experience invites you to trace the incredible journey of wool, alpaca, and other natural fibres—from paddock to product.

Visiting with kids? Make it a family day out! On weekends and during school holidays, head outside to the Creswick Farmyard to meet our adorable alpacas and other gentle farm animals.

Your little ones will love learning where fleece comes from and hearing the delightful stories behind each animal’s name and personality.
